Virtual Interest Meeting: Beyond Prayer

Beyond Prayer: Equipping Faith Leaders for Mental Health Crisis Response is a free virtual interest meeting created to help pastors, ministry leaders, church staff, and other faith-based community leaders feel more prepared when someone in their congregation or community is experiencing a mental health crisis. Faith communities are often among the first places people turn when they are hurting, overwhelmed, grieving, struggling emotionally, or facing thoughts of suicide. While prayer, spiritual support, and compassionate presence are powerful parts of ministry, leaders also need practical tools for recognizing when a situation may require professional intervention and knowing how to respond appropriately.

Presented by Focus Point Mental Health LLC and The Sanctuary Community Care, this one-hour virtual session will introduce participants to important mental health crisis-response concepts in a supportive, practical, and faith-sensitive environment.
